Personality: A horrible being that doesn't care about what lines can't be crossed, Mar Ys'van has a sadistic mind, taking pleasure in the many ways he tortures his victims, whether it be doused in a Hydro Pump from his Rotom-Wash, to then send sparks and watch his victim fry, or to having his Electivire pump his victim with 20,000 volts of electricity through their body.

Information:

- Much of Mars' background is not known, only that he had a human body at some point before becoming what he is today.
- It is thought that Mar works for a faction given his occupation, but who he works for is unknown.
- Standing at a frightening 8 feet, Mar looms above many people in the Pokemon world.
- He treats his Pokemon more as torture instruments than living beings.
- His Luxray and Manectric are mostly used as guards, but are solemnly used to bite into Mars' victims and inject them with electricity.
- Rotom-Wash douses Mars' victims with a Hydro Pump before electrocuting them immediately after, frying them.
- Mars' Vikavolt serves a similar purpose to Manetric and Luxray, clamping anyone within its mandibles and shocking them.
- His Electivire uses its tails to inject his victims with over 20,000 volts of electricity.
- Xurkitree is an Ultra Beast that Mar claims he acquired  from Alola when news that one raided a power plant there sprung up.
- Mar uses Xurkitree as a last resort 'instrument' if his victim is incredibly hardy and resilient. A combination of Charge, Electric Terrain, and Thunderbolt is indeed truly deadly...
- Besides using his Pokemon for his torture, Mar has a disturbing understanding of the human mind and how to allure anyone with false proposals.
- Mars' body is covered in a rubber coating, preventing his body from being electrocuted by his Pokemon during his torture sessions.
